The Bearded Butcher

A restaurant With a flare for performance

Introducing a new live performance restaurant with a South African twist.

The Bearded Butcher

The Bearded Butcher is a theater restaurant owned by renowned Afrikaans singer Jo Black. It is the heartbeat of the live entertainment at the Ultimate Aim Sports Pavilion. Jo and his three partners have been searching for a home for their restaurant, and when approached by Ultimate Aim CEO, Albie Morkel, it was an easy decision. The name originally comes from a biltong business that the famous singer operated years ago. Now it has become synonomous with a dream coming true - the opening of a theater-restaurant that brings various art forms to the stage; from music to stage productions, and comedian performances.

Jenny Prinsloo

Your host will the be the experienced Jenny Prinsloo. With 16 years experience in the restaurant and catering industry, it will be Jenny looking after the daily operations and the artist bookings.

A la Carte & Tapas

The restaurant area will focus on A la Carte-menu, while drinks and tapas (with a true South African twist) will be served in the Tapas Bar area for those looking for a more informal option.

Live Performances

There will also be comedian and one man performances, as well as singer-songwriter evenings where young musicians can be exposed to more experienced artists. There will be a limited number of VIP boxes in the upstairs area. These will be equipped with comfortable sofas. A large play area ensures that families will feel welcome
